Artist residency provided by Thalian Hall Center for the Performing Arts

Residency Co-Sponsored by Centro Hispano

A guitar virtuoso with a powerful singing voice, Nano Stern is a celebrated Chilean artist devoted to music and larger social issues. Stern's music draws from the traditional music of Latin America and European folk songs, mixed with more contemporary, improvisational jazz-rock. Stern is a highly active voice in Chilean social rights, often writing, singing, and speaking about issues bigger than himself. As he grapples with geographical, social and cultural borders through his music, Stern creates an intense, spirited energy that resonates with audiences from all backgrounds and different walks of life.
