Ann Conner is a nationally acclaimed artist known for her distinctive woodcuts. Using non-endangered native wood and brilliant color palettes, Conner creates conceptual woodcuts that employ intrinsic wood grain. Her work is included in over fifty major museum and corporate print collections in the U.S. and internationally, including Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; California Palace of the Legion of Honor, San Francisco; Equitable Life, Chicago and Colorado Springs; Fidelity Investments; State Department Art in Embassies; New York Public Library; North Carolina Museum of Art; Fogg Museum, Harvard University; Library of Congress; List Visual Arts Center, MIT; Credit Suisse First Boston, London; Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond; University Health System, San Antonio; Ritz Carlton Hotels; Neiman Marcus, and a recent acquisition of 8 woodcut suites by Beinecke Rare Books and Manuscript Library, Yale University. Her studio is located in downtown Wilmington. 

She taught painting for many years at UNCW and is past chair, Art and Art History. She is a recipient of UNCW Faculty Scholarship Award and twice recipient of Faculty Research Reassignment Award.
