Hi <Nickname>,

The Fall Parents Council meeting was wonderful, and I hope you enjoyed the presentations and fellowship as much as I did. If you were unable to attend the September meeting, you can access materials on the UNCW Parents Council website. Our next meeting will take place Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 4 p.m. and will feature programs within the Career Center and UNCW’s Diversity and Inclusion Centers.  I hope you'll make plans to attend.

In the spirit of the season, I find myself reflecting on the positive experiences your students have through UNCW programs, classes and campus interactions:

September 4th marked the beginning of a year-long celebration in honor of UNCW's 70th anniversary. Mark your calendars for a special Homecoming 2018, scheduled February 9-11.

Midnite Madness had a great turnout in Trask Coliseum and we are excited about the future of both the men's and women's basketball teams under new leadership. View schedules for all Seahawk sports.

The Cameron School of Business hosted the Swain Center’s 2017 Economic Outlook Conference. The speakers and topics focused on transportation and the event was moderated by Dr. Rob Burrus, dean of the college.

Groundbreaking for the University Police Department expansion took place last month. Chief Donaldson and campus police are excited for more space for their headquarters.

On November 28, UNCW will celebrate #GivingTuesday – a global day of giving. To date, UNCW has received over $25,000 in support from our Parents Council members – thank you! If you have not yet made your annual gift, this is a great day to get involved.

Your support allows our programs to grow and excel, and we are thankful for your involvement on the Parents Council.
