Our graduates work as:

Express ideas and portray characters in theater, film, television and other performing arts media. (Source)

Facilitate communication across all creative and technical departments, act as a right hand to the director, oversee sets, props, lights, and sound, and call all technical cues during performances. (Source)

Theatre Minor Program Overview

Educating and Training Artists

Our goal is to nurture, encourage, support, train and educate the artist in the study and practice of theatre. We train students to pursue a career in the vast field of show business. Whether that is in live theatre, film, television or a host of other fields, students will learn the essential skills needed.

A Breadth of Knowledge

Theatre minors have a range of production opportunities, as well as academic and active learning workshop classes. Students interested in dance may select from a variety of studio courses.

How Do I Minor in Theatre?

A "C" (2.00) is required in each course counted toward the minor. Courses taken toward a major cannot be counted toward a minor and vice versa.
