Better Understand Conflict

The multi-disciplinary post-baccalaureate program in conflict management and resolution is ideal for professionals, practitioners and students who wish to gain a greater understanding of conflict in both domestic and international settings.

You can participate in the certificate program while enrolled in a graduate degree program in another discipline at UNCW or any other accredited university.

Blended Course Model

The program is based on a dual-format, blended-course model that includes intensive instructional blocks utilizing face-to-face instruction, video teleconferencing and mobile access followed by self-paced but guided distance education.

There is one instructional block per semester spanning two to four weeks at the beginning of the fall and spring semesters.

To better address students' career goals, the certificate in conflict management and resolution has two tracks: Domestic and International.

Recommendations

  • 3 letters of recommendation from an academic institution or the applicant’s relevant professional field.

Additional Requirements

  1. Upload Supplemental Documents After Application Submission
  2. Essay:  A 500-word essay on the applicant’s goal in pursuing graduate work in conflict management and resolution.
  3. Financial Aid: Non-federal loans are available for this program.  Admitted students may apply through the UNCW Scholarship Application to be considered for additional scholarships.  Please consult your Financial Aid Counselor for further details.
  4. Visa Sponsorship:  This program does not qualify for visa sponsorship.
