To meet the high demand for nursing professionals, UNC Wilmington offers an accredited bachelor of science in nursing program for licensed register nurses. This unique program is offered in an online accelerated format and classes are taught by faculty with real world nursing experience. Admission to the program is continuous, with six start dates throughout the year and degree completion achievable in as few as 12 months. 

Our program is ideal for working professionals and will prepare you with the knowledge, skills and confidence to successfully compete and advance into high demand healthcare areas that serve an increasing aging population. In addition, the RN-BSN program provides a foundation for graduate nursing education.

Practice experiences in the RN-BSN program involve experiential learning in any setting where health care is delivered or health is influenced that allow for and require the student to integrate new practice related knowledge and skills. Practice experiences include both direct and indirect care activities that impact health outcomes.
