Onslow Extension

Education Laboratory

Pre-service teachers enrolled in the undergraduate elementary education program offered by WCE at the UNCW Onslow Extension Site in Jacksonville also provide tutoring for students in grades K-6. Our Extension Ed Lab is located on the Coastal Carolina Community College campus.

Tutoring in math and reading is conducted by UNCW students currently enrolled in the elementary teaching education program. 

Tutoring Services

Tutoring in math and reading is conducted by UNCW students currently enrolled in the elementary teaching education program. 

Space is limited to the number of enrolled UNCW students. Please call early to check placement availability. Tutors will work one-on-one, carefully designing individualized lessons based on the interests, strengths and needs of each student. Tutoring schedules are set between tutors and parents during the Extension Ed Lab's open hours. All tutoring is supervised by a UNCW faculty member. 

Tutoring is not designed for completing homework or projects, rather as enrichment and individualized instruction based on interests, strengths and needs of each student. 

Prices 

  • Reading tutoring (20 hours): $200
  • Math tutoring (20 hours): $200
  • Reading and math tutoring (25 hours): $200
