- The applied behavior analysis concentration focuses on the conceptual and methodological foundations of behavior analysis and takes a data-based approach to behavioral assessment and clinical psychology. Emphasis is placed on providing intervention services for individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Graduates of the psychological science concentration are not eligible to practice psychology but frequently go on for doctoral study in clinical, social, neuroscience, and other areas. Some are researchers, administrators, and college-level psychology instructors.
- The neuroscience and behavior concentration prepares students for doctoral programs in neuroscience, behavioral neuroscience and related fields.
Students in all three concentrations complete a research-methods sequence, a core of coursework in psychology, a comprehensive exam, and an empirical thesis. Students enrolled in the Applied Behavior Analysis concentration complete additional coursework emphasizing clinical and behavior analytic concepts and skills.
