K-12 Outreach

In conjunction with the NC State Engineering Place, the Program Director is available to visit schools in southeastern North Carolina to conduct engineering outreach activities. North Carolina has adopted the Engineering Connections to K-12 Education and these Connections are aligned with the STEM Implementation Rubric Principles. If you are a K-12 educator or guidance counselor, please contact the Program Director to arrange a visit to a class, student organization, or parent-teacher association function.
Engineering is the profession in which knowledge of the mathematical and natural sciences, gained by study, experience and practice, is applied with judgement to develop ways to utilize, economically, the materials and forces of nature for the benefit of mankind.
