The PARS was founded by UNCW students dedicated to the study of philosophy, religion and discussing scholarly topics from all fields of study.
What do we do?
- Students tutor one another and create an on-campus social network to help each other enjoy our UNCW experience.
- Attend and sponsor debates.
- Meet biweekly for discussion style meetings on various topics.
- Host thought-provoking talks led by guest lecturers.

February:
- 12th: Interest meeting-Call for new PARS officers.
- 26th: Apocalypse and Media-Student Led discussion about the apocalypse and how modern media has affected it.
March:
- 12th: Tibetan Book of the Dead- Intro and discussion of The Tibetan book of the dead.
- 26th: Mass Hysteria-What is mass hysteria & how does it work? Discussion
April:
- 9th: Funeral-the departure of our VP and a discussion on various funerary practices.
Guest Lectures are open to the public.
