May 2023 - Several College of Health and Human Services faculty have received internal seed funding provided by Research and Innovation at UNC Wilmington. These opportunities support and encourage research, scholarship, creative work and innovation in multiple disciplines, as well as supporting many interdisciplinary collaborations. “Our faculty research profile has gotten stronger and stronger within the College of Health and Human Sciences,” says Interim Dean Justine Reel. “CHHS faculty have been incredibly successful at securing internal funding at UNCW that will lead to significant impact as well in some cases extramural grants.” The following CHHS faculty were awarded funding:
Charles L. Cahill Grants for Faculty Scholarship are awarded to full-time faculty to promote scholarship broadly across the university. Faculty members from all academic disciplines are encouraged to apply for funds to support their scholarship efforts.

The primary emphasis of the Research Momentum Funds is to increase sponsored research at UNCW by providing targeted proposal development support. RMF recipients must submit a proposal for external funding within a year of being funded.
