The Center for Workforce Development offers career preparation opportunities in the form of mentorships to students pursuing careers in the health and human services fields.
MentorCHHS pairs each student in a formal, structured partnership with a mentor in their field of study throughout the academic year. The Center for Workforce Development offers this opportunity to students interested in careers in social work, public health, and clinical research.
MentorSW, MentorPBH, and MentorCR, connect students with experienced professionals to further prepare them for the workforce. These mentorship programs also build relationships between UNCW and local professionals by providing opportunities for engagement.
In 2021-2022, mentors and students will meet virtually at least once per month to work toward the goals set by the student related to their career.
