Matison completed his predoctoral internship at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and is currently a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of New Mexico’s Center on Alcohol, Substance use & Addictions.
Ryan trained as a doctoral student clinician at GPAC from 2019 to 2021 focusing on the use of cognitive behavioral, acceptance and commitment, cognitive processing, and exposure and response prevention therapies in the psychosocial treatment of various mental illnesses. In addition to serving as a doctoral student clinician, Ryan served as a peer supervisor to student clinicians in training before moving on to complete his predoctoral internship at Southwest Behavioral and Health Services in Flagstaff, Arizona. Ryan has accepted a postdoctoral fellow position at BASE Cognitive Behavioral in Charlotte, North Carolina to begin on completion of his internship.
Christian trained as a doctoral student clinician at GPAC from 2019 to 2021 with a focus on psychodiagnostic assessment techniques, as well as cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness-based stress reduction in the psychosocial treatment of various mental illnesses. He completed his predoctoral internship at Larned State Hospital in Larned, Kansas, and has accepted a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at MARS Memory Health Network in Wilmington, NC to specialize in neuropsychology.
After refining his clinical skills at the GPAC clinic, as well as through practicum placements at Coastal Horizons and Wilmington Health Access for Teens, Trevor is pursuing his interests in substance use treatment and forensic psychology during an upcoming internship at the North Carolina Department of Public Safety in Raleigh. Trevor, who favors CBT as a primary therapeutic modality, has now worked with a diverse array of psychiatric presentations and is excited to continue his training in Raleigh
