Our Mission
The University of North Carolina Wilmington, the state's coastal university, integrates teaching and mentoring with research and service. UNCW’s commitment to student engagement, creative inquiry, critical thinking, thoughtful expression, and civic responsibility defines the student experience. UNCW offers undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs in areas of expertise that serve the needs of the state, as well as the needs of our local and global communities.

SACSCOC ACCREDITED
The University of North Carolina Wilmington is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees. Degree-granting institutions also may offer credentials such as certificates and diplomas at approved degree levels.
