Literacy Live

Literacy Live

Give your child the joy of reading with our dramatic play program, Literacy Live. Children (ages 4-7) develop reading comprehension skills while acting out stories using simple costumes, sets and props. The stories are selected from critically reviewed literature featuring specific themes. Children are encouraged to use their imaginations, personal experiences and creativity to recreate the stories and demonstrate comprehension. The themes are also integrated into other fun activities such as science, math, art and music. We offer Saturday programs and summer camps.

Fall 2015 Saturday Programs

All programs are free but registration is required. Children (ages 4-7) must be accompanied by an adult. Programs will be held in the Education Building from 1:00-3:00 pm.

Saturday, November 14th: Join us for Literacy Live from Underground. Did you know there is a whole world of wonder underground? Join us as we explore what lies beneath the surface in this Literacy Live adventure. We'll discover pipes, pathways, critters and pests that call the underground home as we get down and dirty with the great outdoors!
