Transfer Student Events

Once the academic year begins, more social activities will be planned and will include events such as Recreation Center workouts, study sessions, athletic games, beach trips, dinners, and lunches.

Major/Minor Workshop

Thursday, September 25 at 5:30 p.m. in the Wrightsville Beach Room (FSC 2017)

Transfer student advisors will be on hand to help answer questions you have about majors, minors, and how to use the resources available to you to be better prepared for your academic and professional future. This event is mandatory for all mentors and mentees.

Skill Seeker Workshop

Thursday, October 16 at 6 p.m. in the Long Leaf Pine Room (FUU 1041)

Career Center personnel will be on hand to help you recognize and improve your own powerful set of skills while at UNCW, in and out of the classroom. These skills and behaviors will increase your marketability for internships, jobs, and graduate school. This event is mandatory for all mentors and mentees.

Personal Finance Workshop

Thursday, November 13 at 6 p.m. in the Long Leaf Pine Room (FUU 1041)

What really is financial health and how do you ensure t for yourself? Budgets, assets, liabilities, unintended debt, and identity theft will be covered in this money-management workshop. This event is mandatory for all mentors and mentees.

Teal Bridge wrap up will include a meal with all mentors and mentees to celebrate the completion of the first semester and talk about how to make the most of the UNCW experience!
