Welcome to UNCW Student Media
The fast track for tomorrow’s media professionals!
Our program consists of The Seahawk, the university’s campus newspaper; Atlantis, the creative magazine of UNCW, published three times a year; TealTV, producers of the biweekly TV magazine Seahawk Central News; Flicker Film Society, a collective of student filmmakers who sponsor the annual Reel Teal Film Festival; Hawkstream Radio, a fledgling streaming radio station; and the UNCW Photography Club.
These autonomous student organizations are assisted by UNCW Student Media Sales & Marketing, a team of students providing advertising sales, design assistance and publicity, and by the UNCW Student Media Board, the program's governing body. The SMB is a committee of students, faculty, university staff and local professionals who oversee budgets, policy and advising.
