Bachelor of Social Work

The BSW program educates students in generalist social work practice, engages students in scholarly inquiry and community service, and instills the values of ethical practice, social justice, self-determination, empowerment and honoring diverse populations.  Guided by a strengths perspective of generalist practice, the School of Social Work prepares students for practice with individuals, families, groups and communities and advanced study in social work and other related fields.

UNCW offers scholarships to currently enrolled students. All prospective and accepted School of Social Work students are encouraged to fill out their FAFSA and the UNCW Scholarship Application in MySeaport to be eligible to receive awards from the university, college or school.
