I am an advisor to One in Four because I believe that this program is one of the best ways for men to get involved in rape and violence prevention. Society puts so much pressure on both men and women to behave in certain ways, and those expectations can be extremely confining. Only through the actions of men and women working together to loosen those rigid gender roles can we truely reach equality.

I am a member of One in Four because I have had several friends talk to me about their experiences with sexual assault and I feel that 1 in 4 is a great way to teach people how to help sexual assault survivers and help to reduce the problem.

Being that One-In-Four is a group that promotes conversation,education, and understanding I feel that I am helping others to be more conscious of their identities and others as I develop in the process.
