Taking Young Women to the Next Level

My Sister’s Keeper (MSK) is a mentoring program for young women of color, offered through the UNCW Office of Multicultural Affairs. Each mentee is strategically matched with a mentor. Our mentors are highly skilled, well established faculty and community members. Matches will be based on the stated needs of each mentee, as well as specific areas of expertise and interest of mentors.

The program is designed to help young women develop their own sense of identity. Mentors will help guide mentees in ways that compliment and cultivate their personal growth and development.  A one-time mentor training will be facilitated by the MSK Program Coordinator.

We need you as a mentor for a young woman of color attending UNCW. The difference that serving as a mentor can make in the lives of students, is well noted. The impact that sharing the benefit of your wisdom can have on you as a mentor, is equally as rewarding.
