What is Digital Measures?
It is a customizable online information management system designed to organize and report on faculty teaching, research and service activities. UNCW is currently in the implementation phase of Activity Insight with a tentative implementation date of 2008-09.
What can I expect as a faculty member?
Upon a successful implementation, you can expect to see a reduction in the amount of data requested on an ad hoc basis as to your yearly activites. As you will be updating that information on AI, it is only a matter of running a summary report which is preformatted for you.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) Working in Digital Measures:
I lost or don't remember receiving my password. What should I do?
Please contact Whitney Lawson at 2-3520 or at email@example.com and she will send you a new password request. Please note, password requests come from Digital Measures not through OIRA.
I do not have access to run a custom report my Chair or Dean says I should. What should I do?
Please contact Whitney Lawson and she can check your security access. If it is noted you should have access to a particular report, she will put in a work request to DM to have your access set up.
Digital Measures seems to be running slow for me, why is that?
Digital Measures rests on a secure server off-site. During peak reporting times, such as when end of the academic year annual report submissions are due, over 800 campuses are accessing DM. This load accounts for some lag. If you find the lag consistent, please contact OIRA.
