End of Spring Break Brings Increased Internet Traffic
Monday, March 28, 2011
UNCW spring break is over, and with the return of students Internet traffic returns to normal rates. During spring break the campus Internet traffic was around 100Mb per second, but with students and faculty starting back, Sunday (March 20) saw traffic rates return to higher levels, with a maximum rate of 456 Mb per second for inbound data. That is a 356% increase and is approximately 57 times more than your average home broadband connection can handle at its maximum download rate.
