Excuses
The UNCW Student Health Center does not provide written excuses for missed classes or exams. It is the student's responsibility to discuss absences with class instructors. However, a faculty member can call to verify that a student was seen on a particulardate(s). The only information that will be given is the date(s) of the visit(s). Otherwise, medical information is confidential: Specific information will be released with a signed authorization by the student designating to whom information can be released.
