What is Coaching?

Coaching is a partnership between a UNCW employee and someone who is called a coach and dedicated to a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires the employee to maximize his or her professional potential.

A coach's responsibility is to:

  • Discover, clarify, and align with what the employee wants to achieve
  • Encourage employee self-discovery
  • Elicit employee-generated solutions and strategies
  • Hold the employee responsible and accountable

Where coaching can help:

  • How can I manage my time better to achieve all I want?
  • What do I want to do next in my career?
  • How can I reduce the stress in my job?
  • How can I achieve a better balance between work, life, and home?
