Special Programs

Student presenting research poster First Year Research Experience (FYRE) Program The First-Year Research Experience (FYRE) program gets first-year students connected with mentors and involved in research on campus. Learn more about FYRE
Researcher moving oyster beds at Center for Marine Science Marine Science REU (Research Experiences for Undergraduates) This program provides undergraduate students, especially from underrepresented groups, an opportunity to experience the excitement of research and discovery, and to work in a collaborative and interdisciplinary team in varying aspects of marine science. CSURF is hosting a workshop series for students applying to the NOAA Hollings Scholarship Program. The next meeting is Oct 16, 5-6pm in VH1032. More info here.

Poster printing will be paused for Fall Break and our move to King Hall. No poster printing will be available Oct 3-27.

Students can submit abstracts for the Fall Showcase of Student Research and Creativity, which will be Friday Nov 22 2024. Abstracts are due November 4 2024, 5pm. Submit here.

CSURF Director Dr. Nathan Grove has moved to Penn State. We wish him the best of luck!

Administrator Peggy Styes retired July 1 2024. Congrats to Peggy!

CSURF has temporarily moved to VH 3004. We are eagerly awaiting the completion of King Hall and should be moving later this fall!
