CHHS is a Team for the Race for a Cure
Greetings all! The College of Health and Human Services is officially a team for the Race for a Cure event on March 2, 2013 in downtown Wilmington! This event is for a cause that Dean Hardy is passionate about and he would love nothing more than to see as many of us as possible (including students) come out for this event. There are several options for participating. You can run or walk the 5k. Or, even if you can’t be there, you can still donate to our team! Our team fundraising goal is $2,000. Go to the website below and it will give you all the instructions! On the website you can click on “Join an Existing Team” and type in our team name (CHHS) and register as a participant. You’ll then get an email confirmation that you can forward to your family and friends asking for a donation of any kind in your name. See official instructions below. Here are some tips forsuccess:
- Recruitat least 10 runners/walkers as your team members. Invite your team members to recruit their friends, family and co-workers too!
- Ask team members to register online at http://nctc.info-komen.org/site/TR/RacefortheCure/DUR_NCTriangleAffiliate?fr_id=2873&pg=entry
- Take ourInaugural Race Fundraising Challenge and raise a minimum of $200 by asking 10 people for $20! Remember as the Team Captain you set the best example for fundraising.
- Encourage your team members and help generate excitement around fundraising.
