The Office of International Programs, along with the College of Health and Human Services, is hosting two celebrated professionals who work in the promotion of quality of life, health and a sustainable environment in developing countries. Nancy L. Hoffman is the Deputy Mission Director for the US Agency for International Development (USAID) in Guatemala, and Jerry Bauer currently is the Assistant Director of the International Institute of Tropical Forestry (IITF) and works in the Caribbean and Central America. Together they will offer insights on how the United States plays a role in promoting human rights, economic growth, and sustainable environmental development abroad. Panelists will cite specific examples from the Caribbean and Central America. A question and answer period will follow the discussion.
