Selected for Leadership Academy in Aging
Congratulations to Professor Randy Cottrell, Academic Program Coordinator, Public Health Studies in SHAHS, for being the recipient of the Eta Sigma Gamma Honor Award. Dr. Cottrell will receive the award on October 11th at the American School Health Association National Meeting in Myrtle Beach, S.C. The Honor Award is “presented to individuals or organizations that have made major contributions to the health education profession through service, education and/or research. It is the highest award given by Eta Sigma Gamma.” Dr. Cottrell will give a 20 minute address to the membership following receipt of this prestigious award.Randy is new to UNCW this year following a long career at the University of Cincinnati. He is well known in the field of Health Education and is excited to be at UNCW to help develop our B.S. in Public Health Studies program for accreditation by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH).
