Student Demographics

In fall 2010, UNCW enrolled 13,071 students, including 1,328 graduate students. Sixty percent of the student population is female, and 13.5 percent is minority (including multiracial). In-state students comprise 85 percent of the total, and 38 percent of undergraduates live on campus. With an average freshman SAT of 1170 and an acceptance rate consistently under 60 percent, UNCW is categorized as “more selective” by U.S. News and World Report.
