Building a Better Wilmington Campaign

Community Spotlight Films

The Building a Better Wilmington Campaign (BBWC), housed in the Department of Public and International Affairs at UNCW, has been creating student-produced films over the last two years to advance the group's mission to increase the visibility, effectiveness, and sustainability of nonprofit organizations in Southeastern North Carolina. The films are used to promote quality engaged learning opportunities for students that provide successful collaborations between the university, students, and the nonprofit community.

Expanding on this mission, the BBWC is excited to launch a new "Community Spotlight Film" opportunity for nonprofit organizations in Southeastern North Carolina. BBWC will make Community Spotlight Films that will provide nonprofits with a 1-2 minute student-produced film to use for educational and promotional purposes.

Located in the right column of this page is a policy covering all of the details, as well as the Community Spotlight Film Application and Acknowledgement form, which can be completed and returned to bbwc@uncw.edu or mailed to UNCW (Leutze Hall Rm 264, 601 South College Road, Wilmington, NC 28403). This opportunity is open to any non-politically affiliated nonprofit in the Southeastern North Carolina counties: Bladen, Brunswick, Columbus, Cumberland, New Hanover, Onslow, Pender, Robeson, and Sampson.

We are eager to put the many incredible nonprofits that are actively pursuing our vision to create a stronger, more vibrant Wilmington and greater Southeastern North Carolina on the screen!! We look forward to hearing from you.
