The University of North Carolina Wilmington is extending its wings to the community with the Seahawk Homecoming parade. As part of "Teal Infinity and Beyond," UNCW's week-long celebration of Homecoming, families and alumni are invited to experience UNC Wilmington's new and improved annual parade from 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4.

Thirty floats, including spirited teal floats handmade by UNCW students, dancers and local businesses will circulate throughout the campus, led by parade Marshall Chancellor Gary Miller and wife Georgia Miller. Announcing will occur in front of Belk Hall. The full route is available at www.uncw.edu/ace. The festivities will end at the UNCW Tealgate tent beside Trask Coliseum, where alumni can enjoy food and the company of old friends before the men's Homecoming basketball game, which begins at 7 p.m.

Seahawks from around the nation will soar back to Wilmington and paint the town teal during the UNCW's annual Homecoming on Saturday, Feb. 4. A full list of events, including free alumni receptions, the Alumni Homecoming Celebration post-game party and details about ticketed events are available at www.uncw.edu/homecoming. Media are welcome to cover events by request.
