To me, it is important to give back to the place that helped me learn and grow as an individual to be prepared for the next stage of my life. It is my way of paying it forward, ensuring that Seahawks of the future can be impacted by the contributions of our senior class. Sammy Pisano, '13, Senior Class President General Music/Jazz Studies

I am going to designate my gift to the Watson College of Education because I want our elementary education students to continue to have the best technology, support, and internship opportunities available to them. We have an incredible education program here at UNCW, and I want my gift to help perpetuate its success.

I feel that it is important to give back to a school that has given so much to me. I have been given so many opportunities from UNCW, and giving a donation is just a small token of appreciation that can go a long way.

I will designate my gift to the UNCW Student Ambassadors Fund. Being part of this amazing organization is definitely one of the things I am most proud of, and because it has given me so many opportunities and experiences, I would love to give back to it!

Through the Senior Class Gift Campaign, I am able to jump start my tradition of supporting the different areas on campus that got me where I am today. Without donors, opportunities such as hands on clinical experience in my major and scholarships would have never been possible. I am thankful for the support I have received while at UNCW and I would like to continue on the support for the classes to follow.

I will designate my gift to the College of Arts and Sciences. As a student researcher, my time spent in the laboratory has been equally important and influential as my time spent in the classroom. I hope my donation can help future students have an amazing experience through student research as I have had.

I will designate my gift to the Honors Program. I have been a part of this program since my freshman year. It has allowed me to take classes above what was required of me and gave me new and amazing experiences thorugh my college career.

I couldn't imagine not giving back to a place that has given so much to me, and the Senior Class Gift Campaign is an easy and affordable way to give back. Giving back also helps afford others the same opportunities and experiences at UNCW that have made my years here some of the best of my life.

Being that I am a native of the Wilmington area, two of my aunts and my father attended UNCW as well as my sister, who graduated in 2010. I was given the great opportunitity to attend UNCW as well, and it was a great honor to be selected to join the committee, UNCW is my home. Knowing what the university has done for me, my friends and my family, and the community is what inspired me to join the committee and drives me to success. I cannot imagine where I might be if circumstances were different, but knowing that I have been prepared for greatness inspries me to give back in hope that the same may happen for others.
