UNCW receives 'largest ever' corporate gift 
On Monday, UNCW announced a $5 million gift from Yousry and Linda Sayed -- $1 million per year for the next five years. Yousry Sayed is the CEO of Wilmington-based Quality Chemical Laboratories, which he founded in 1998 after years as an educator at UNCW.

Corder is a member of the Cameron Executive Network at the University of North Carolina Wilmington and enjoys mentoring young students on ways to be successful in business. Jennifer Adams has been appointed to serve as vice chair. She holds an MBA from UNCW.

Katherine (Kit) Kern Buckner died at her home in Chapel Hill on April 12, 2017 after an extended illness. Her dear friend Charles Green of Wilmington, NC endowed a lecture series in her name at UNCW.
