The Collegiate Leadership Academy (CLA) is seeking high performing African American students with a focus on leadership and professional growth. CLA aims to provide mentoring, development, exposure, and networking opportunities for African American students. Selected students will be matched with a corporate mentor from GE Wilmington’s African American Forum. Through individual and group sessions, CLA students will be equipped to enter the corporate world and become the leaders of tomorrow!


Type or print in black or blue ink. Please complete each section fully. Limit answers to the space provided. A complete application must be signed by applicant and returned no later than August 25, 2017 by 5:00 pm EST.


To apply students must:

  • Have a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Hold a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing by August 2017
  • Pursuing studies in the following areas:
    • Business Administration
    • Economics
    • Information Technology
    • Computer Science
    • Pre-Engineering (2+2)
    • Analytics, Information Systems, & Supply Chain Management


Active participation is expected of selected students for scheduled CLA events. Attendance at sessions/ events is mandatory unless excused in advance by program coordinator.
