Jessica Van Meter, M.A., ACSM-CEP, NSCA-CSCS, Lecturer

Jessica Van Meter teaches exercise science courses both online and in the classroom. She earned her B.S.
and M.A. degrees in Exercise Physiology from East Carolina University (ECU). Her higher education career started in 2006 in the Kinesiology department at ECU where she was the program coordinator for the Human Performance Lab’s cardiovascular health assessment program. She managed exercise programs for adults and adolescents, supervised exercise physiology graduate student assistantships, and assisted with exercise testing and training for a variety of research grants. Her interests are physical activity promotion for all ages, and cardiovascular and metabolic disease prevention and risk factor modification. She holds the Clinical Exercise Physiologist certification through ACSM and the CSCS certification through NSCA.
