Description
The network of streets on the southwest section of campus is reaching the end of its effective life and needs improvements to maintain operations. The scope of this project includes the assessment, analysis, design, and construction of both roadway and stormwater improvements.
The selected designer will be responsible for the following:
- Assessment of existing conditions and providing an analysis of alternative solutions that provide multimodal transportation and stormwater solutions. This will include roadways, bike lanes, transit, sidewalks, parking, stormwater collection, and stormwater storage.
- Design of the preferred alternative that meets the transportation and stormwater needs of
the system and includes traffic control during construction.
- Construction administration of the project through completion.
Scope
UNCW is seeking qualifications for a lead designer to provide planning, design, and project leadership for Wagoner/Hurst/Hamilton Roadways–Storm Water Refurbishment.
Site
The project is located at the University of North Carolina Wilmington’s main campus. The roads and stormwater network to be addressed include Wagoner, Hurst, Hamilton, Riegel, and Price.
Budget
The budget for this project is approximately 2.5 Million Dollars.
