Mark Sorensen
Professor
Mark D Sorensen is a graduate of University of Cincinnati-College Conservatory of Music with a M.F.A in Costume Design and Production. Prior to his employment at UNCW, Mark taught at Denison University, Cincinnati-College Conservatory of Music and Kansas State University. His professional employment includes working on Broadway’s Sunset Boulevard and Lion King, HBO’S Eastbound and Down, Season 4, Disney on Ice and Ringley Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Cincinnati Opera and Glimmerglass Opera. He has designed costumes regionally including Theatre Raleigh, College Light Opera Company, Ensemble Theatre of Cincinnati, Wings Theatre, Rockwell Productions, Forestburgh Playhouse and co-founded Opera Wilmington, Wilmington, NC first fully produced opera company.
