Lisa Bertini
Administrative Associate
Lisa Bertini is the Director/Producer of the 2007 award-winning documentary short film "The Lost Colony." A proud alumna of UNCW ('00, M'07, M'14), Lisa joined the Department of Creative Writing in 2006 as an assistant to the MFA program, winning several university service awards for her work with students, faculty, and the community. In 2024 Lisa earned her NC real estate license. Her interests include tabletop games, travel, global cuisines, linguistics, and exploring state and national parks and forests.

Community Engagement
Since interning with Amigos International and the Wilmington Police Department as part of her undergraduate studies, Lisa has been involved in many community service pursuits. Among them are co-founding the local holiday toy/clothing drive Operation Feliz Navidad, and most recently, a house-building service trip to Guatemala, a local build with Habitat for Humanity, and a meal-packaging event with Rise Against Hunger. Lisa is an active member of her church and engages with its outreach programs. She enjoys attending the many events and gatherings offered by the Department of Creative Writing and the local arts community.
