CHHS Commencement Exercises

ALL Graduates:

You must apply to graduate! Details HERE (pdf).

As UNCW continues to grow, so does the number of Seahawks graduating each year! With an increased excitement around the health and human services majors and the expansion of new degree programs, the College of Health and Human Services (CHHS) has been provided the opportunity to hold the second annual CHHS commencement. The UNCW CHHS Spring 2019 Commencement will take place on Friday, May 10, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. in the Trask Coliseum.

To ensure this is a special day for the graduates and their families as well as faculty and staff, CHHS will also host an Open House on Friday, May 10, 2019, beginning at 3:00 p.m. in McNeill Hall. The Open House will include food, music and fun! This also provides an opportunity for graduates to introduce their families to CHHS faculty and staff, take photos, leave remarks for future classes, purchase CHHS alumni apparel and much more!

A new tradition (weather permitting) will also take place from McNeill Hall, the Trek to Trask. Led by Dean Charles Hardy and music, CHHS faculty, staff, students will walk Chancellor’s Walk in regalia and will conclude at the commencement location, beginning at 4:30 p.m. This walk mirrors the initial walk many students completed at their first orientation and their first picture as a class with the Chancellor at the clock tower.
