Zoom


UNCW will be migrating to a new collaborative meeting tool for web conferencing, online meetings and synchronous Distance Education classes called Zoom.  Zoom will replace our existing instance of WebEx which will be unavailable beginning Wednesday August 15, 2018.

Zoom has all the features of WebEx but has the added benefit of a simplified and more intuitive user interface which makes it easier to use. In addition, Zoom will have single sign-on access so all students, faculty and staff can launch the platform using their UNCW domain name and password.

To create your personal Zoom account, login here: https://uncw.zoom.us/ , click “Sign in”, and follow the steps to login to Office 365 using your UNCW domain name and password.

In preparation for this move, all existing WebEx users will begin receiving email reminders of this transition so they can plan accordingly.  Additionally, users with recordings stored on the WebEx server will receive an email with instructions on how to access their recorded content and how to download the recordings they wish to save.
