UNCW’s Esports Team is Off to a Strong Start

Friday, September 03, 2021

UNCW introduced the Seahawk Esports Club in 2019 to bring together a community to learn, play and teach electronic sports. In just two years, the club has grown from four students in WCE’s instructional technology program to nearly 300 across campus. The club fields nationally competitive teams, hosts campus and community events, and establishes connections to the broader esports community.

UNCW’s Call of Duty team is off to a strong start this fall! Their record is currently 3-0, and includes a win against Full Sail University, the # 9 ranked team in the nation, on September 22.
