Registration for 2016 Summer Camps is Now Open!

UNCW Youth Programs offers outstanding academic enrichment programs and summer camps for youth of all ages. Registration for 2016 summer programs is now open!


UNCW will offer more than 30 MarineQuest summer programs for youth between the ages of four and 17. Two new programs will be offered for teens in 2016:

  • “Oceans of Change” will focus on climate change and sea level rise.
  • “Underwater Ichthyologist” is a new dive program with a focus on fish identification and surveys.

Engineering & Robotics

Engineering Expectations offers four age-specific programming lines and includes several camps for girls.  Each week focuses on a different area of problem-solving and challenges that engineers undertake. Two new residential camps will be offered in 2016:

  • “Girls around the Globe” July 18-22 (girls ages 12-14). Gain a global perspective about different ways that female engineers can change the world.
  • “Sports Engineering” July 25-29 (boys ages 12-14). Discover how engineering influences the way different sports are designed and played, and then engineer your own game.
