18 Freshmen to Join Education Living-Learning Community in Fall 2015

Sunday, May 03, 2015

WCE's Office of Student and Engagement and Recruitment is pleased to announce that the college will welcome 18 freshmen to the new Education Living-Learning Community (ELLC) in the fall.

The ELLC was created to provide first-year education majors a residential learning community that supports academic, social and educational development. Through the ELLC, students will have the opportunity to live with other pre-education majors, connect with Watson faculty and staff, attend seminars and participate in education field experiences prior to being admitted into the Watson College of Education.

The ELLC was introduced in fall 2014, and 10 students participated during the 2014-15 academic year. Amy Rottmann, WCCE director of student engagement and recruitment, coordinates the program.
