UNCW's Eman Ghoneim Selected to Attend 10th International Conference on Women Leaders in Science, Technology and Engineering

Eman Ghoneim, associate professor in the Department of Earth and Ocean Sciences, was recently selected to be part of the USA women leaders team at the 10th International Women Leaders in Science, Technology and Engineering (STEM) Conference held under the patronage of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. The conference was hosted in the State of Kuwait October 23-25, 2017 by the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) in collaboration with the American Association for the Advancement of Science and the U.S. Department of State.

The conference aimed to celebrate accomplished international women role models from six continents by sharing success stories and strategies to inspire the next generation of women and maximize the potential of a STEM education. Among the attendees were some of the most notable women scientists whose contributions in science, technology, engineering and mathematics created a great impact on their fields locally and globally.
