UNCW is a proud sponsor of “Work on Wilmington,” New Hanover County’s annual largest day of volunteer service. 

Come rain or shine, on the morning of Saturday, April 22, volunteers from across the county will join forces to tackle nearly 40 projects for non-profits and schools. Projects range from landscaping to simple construction. No specific skills are needed and all ages are welcome. Those ages 12-17 must be accompanied by an adult. 

The event is organized each year by Leadership Wilmington class members. Ashley Wells, associate school director of the UNCW School of Health and Applied Human Sciences, and Heather McWhorter, director of the UNCW Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, are members of this year’s class.
