UNCW is monitoring Subtropical Storm Nicole in collaboration with the National Weather Service and state and local agencies. Based on storm track models, rainy, windy weather and high surf conditions may affect the southeastern North Carolina coast this week, starting late Tuesday, Nov. 8 or early Wednesday, Nov. 9.  

The university is following its normal operating schedule at this time. As the storm evolves, the track could change and forecasted conditions could shift. The university will convey any necessary updates via campus email, the UNCW homepage, and the university’s Facebook and Twitter feeds.  

Events planned to occur later this week are still on schedule, but some locations and activities could be affected by weather conditions. Visit specific event websites for the latest information.
