UNCW continues to monitor Hurricane Ian in collaboration with the National Weather Service and state and local agencies. While forecasts indicate it is still too early to determine the storm’s exact track and its potential impact for our immediate area, now is a good time to review campus emergency procedures and your personal preparation plan.

Rough seas, gusty winds, an increased risk of rip currents and significant rainfall are expected along our local coastline as the system moves in.

The university will convey any necessary updates via campus email, the UNCW homepage, and the university’s Facebook and Twitter feeds.

Events planned to occur later this week and over the weekend are still on schedule, but locations and activities may be affected. Visit specific event websites for the latest information.
