Women Leaders to Honor Tucker for Leadership

UNCW Deputy Director of Athletics/SWA Tiffany D. Tucker has been named the Nell Jackson Nike Executive of the Year by Women Leaders in College Sports.
Beginning her fifth year at UNCW, Tucker will be among the honorees recognized in early October. Women Leaders in College Sports will bestow the Nike Lifetime Achievement Awards, Nike Executives of the Year, Rising Executives Awards, and special recognition for a Title IX Legend at its national convention in Kansas City on Oct. 9-11.
Nominated by her peers and selected by the Women Leaders Awards Committee for service during 2021-22, Tucker was recognized for her many contributions to college athletics.
“I am sincerely grateful to receive such an amazing honor,” said Tucker. “Nell Jackson was a true trailblazer and a champion for us all. I am deeply humbled to know that my colleagues value my commitment to elevating our industry to new heights, galvanizing leaders and motivating others to do things they never thought were possible.”
Women Leaders in College Sports is committed to recognizing the achievements and successes of women working in athletics. Celebrating those accomplishments is an integral piece of advancing women in athletics.

Dr. Christine Grant will be honored with special recognition as "Title IX Legend" posthumously at the Trailblazers of Title IX: Lunch with Legends on Oct. 11 at the Women Leaders National Convention. Grant was CCWAA President from 1987-89 and a past Lifetime and Legacy Award winner.
