UNCW's 311 student-athletes concluded the 2021-22 school year with an outstanding finish in the classroom for the second semester.
Student-athletes across 19 intercollegiate teams compiled a cumulative 3.394 grade point average. A total of 241 (77%) of UNCW's student-athletes earned a 3.0 GPA or better. Seventeen teams posted at least a 3.0 GPA. Overall, 61 student-athletes achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA in the second semester.
"On behalf of the Student-Athlete Support Services staff, we congratulate all student-athletes on a fantastic spring semester," said Assistant Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Support Services Dr. Shannon Pease. "The student-athletes' success would not be possible without all of the support from the faculty, coaches and administrators."
The volleyball program posted the highest team GPA among the teams at 3.755, while the women's golf team ranked second at 3.704. The softball team, which recently made its first appearance in the NCAA Regionals, finished third at 3.699.
