Dr. Jennifer Horan Elected Vice President of the Southwestern Social Science Association

Dr. Jennifer Horan, associate professor in the Department of Public and International Affairs, has been elected vice president of the Southwestern Social Science Association.

Founded in 1919, the SSSA is the oldest interdisciplinary social-science association in the United States. The organization brings together professional scholars, graduate students, and undergraduates from across the world in the spirit of intellectual growth, collaboration and collegiality. It features affiliate associations in economics, history, international studies, political science, social work, sociology, and women’s and gender studies.

Horan will serve as vice president in 2023, president-elect next year and president in 2025. Learn more on the SSSA’s website.
